It is easy to get discouraged but it will happen one day! I know people have mixed reviews on it, but there is the possibility of searching online for someone too. You say that you don't think they are intersted in you that way, but are you interested in any of them? I am by no means an expert here lol but if there is someone you like you could either be bold and flat out ask for a date or be a little more subtle and flirt a bit. I actually met my bf (now ex) online, I am 20 now and have yet to date any guys I have known in person first.
